This Privacy Policy covers visitors to our website (https://livediseasefree.com/), blog or app (our “Site”).

This Privacy Policy has been developed to better help you understand how your personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) is being used on our Site. Personal Information, as used in Canadian privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. When visiting our Site, registering in our courses or ordering any service on our Site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information, country or other details.  We use your Personal Information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, such as to provide you with the Site and our services and to otherwise communicate with you about us.  Other than as set forth in this Privacy Policy, no Personal Information of yours is shared outside of the Site unless you explicitly authorize it.  If you opt to share any of your Personal Information in any public forum on our Site, such Personal Information is shared publicly and we can no longer guarantee its privacy, so we encourage you to be mindful of who you are sharing with on the Site at all times.

Use of Personal Information

We use your Personal Information for purposes described in this Privacy Policy, such as to provide you with access to the certain restricted areas of the Site, to send out our email communications and our newsletters, if any, and to otherwise communicate with you about the services.  We may use the information we collect from you when you register, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, visit the website, or use certain other Site features in the following ways:

  1. To personalize a user’s experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested.
  2. To improve our website in order to better serve you.
  3. To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests.
  4. To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other Site feature.
  5. To quickly process your transactions.
  6. To send periodic emails regarding your order or other products and services.
  7. To assess your suitability for the program, to provide you ongoing information from our program.

 

Protection of Visitor Information

We try our best to provide you with leading security practices, like using strong passwords to manage our network, limiting admin access to our network to a limited number of humans, and encrypting all requests via a secure connection (HTTPS). Indeed, if you attempt to access our Site using http, you will be redirected to an https address.  We use https on our Site exclusively, which means all your transmissions of data are encrypted in transit.  However, no data transmission on the Internet or on a network is 100% secure, so we cannot make a guarantee. Take care to manage access to the computers and devices where you are logged in to our application.  In addition:

  1. We do not use vulnerability scanning and/or scanning to PCI standards.
  2. We use regular Malware Scanning.
  3. We do use an SSL certificate.

 

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies (a small text file placed on your computer to identify your computer and browser) and/or web beacons (a file placed on a website that monitors usage) to improve the experience of our Site, to understand how our Site is used, and to support our advertising and marketing.

Third Party Disclosure

Sometimes, we may refer our Site to or access a third-party service provider, like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. In order to do so, and to enhance your experience on our Site, we may need to provide such third-party service provider with information that you have provided to us. In such cases, your use of those services will be governed by their privacy policies and terms of service, and we cannot make a guarantee about what information they gather from use of their services.

If you make a payment (such as when becoming a client or using a teleseminar), we use a payment processor to process your payment.  In order to do that, the processor receives the payment info you provide.  Our current processors are Stripe and PayPal.

Third Party Links

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our Site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

Anonymous Visits

Users can visit our Site anonymously. Our Privacy Policy can be found on the bottom of the Live Disease Free Website. Our Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can be easily be found on the page specified above.

Marketing

We do not specifically market to children under 18.

Do Not Track Signals

Because there is no consistent industry understanding of how to respond to “Do Not Track” signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.

Third-Party Behavioural Tracking

It’s important to note that we do engage in third party behavioural tracking.

International Data Transfers

To use third party service providers, in some cases, your data may be transferred outside of Canada, often to the United States for the use of such services.  These service providers may additionally transmit data in accordance with their privacy policies.

Data Breach Protocol

A data breach occurs where there is a loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of or access to Personal Information, and it is reasonable to believe that the breach creates a real risk of significant harm to an individual. If this happens, we will notify the users via email as soon as feasible and report the breach where required, in accordance with applicable law.

Fair Information Practices

We also agree to the individual redress principle, which requires that individuals have a right to pursue legally enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or a government agency to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.

Email Practices

Commercial electronic messages sent by Live Disease Free are sent in accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and other applicable law.

We collect your email address in order to:

  1. Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.
  2. Process orders and to send information and updates pertaining to orders.
  3. We may also send you additional information related to your product and/or service.
  4. Market to our mailing list or continue to send emails to our clients after the original transaction has occurred.

 

We also agree to the following:

  1. NOT use false, or misleading subjects or email addresses.
  2. Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way.
  3. Monitor third party email marketing services, if one is used, for compliance with applicable laws.
  4. Honour opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly.
  5. Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email.

By following the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email we will remove you from ALL correspondence within 10 business days.

Residents of the European Economic Area (“EEA”):

If you are located in the EEA, your Personal Information is processed in the same manner as all other Personal Information on our Site. As part of our Site, we may transfer your Personal Information to other regions within Canada and to the United States or elsewhere via our service providers as set forth above.
