If you’re dealing with fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, pain, gut issues, allergies, long COVID or autoimmune disease, have you considered that parasites might be the cause of your health issues?

Could parasites be the reason why, no matter how healthy you eat, how active you are, or how many supplements you take, you still have symptoms? If you have tried many things to improve your health, but nothing has really made a difference, parasites are likely the root cause of your health concerns.

Experts tell us that we can’t get parasites unless we’ve traveled to underdeveloped countries, but nothing could be further from the truth. According to the CDC, millions of people in the United States are affected by parasitic infections, including toxoplasmosis, Chagas disease, and neurocysticercosis, which often go undiagnosed and untreated. Parasitic infections in the U.S. and other developed countries affect millions of people.

If parasites are not present where we live, why do veterinarians recommend that we regularly deworm our cats, dogs, horses, cattle and other animals?

What is a Parasite?

A parasite is any microbe that lives in our body and causes us harm. Parasites rob nutrients from the food we eat, which can lead to nutritional deficiencies. They also produce toxins and cause inflammation. They make us sick. They need us to survive. Common parasites include big and small worms, single-celled protists, fungi and bacteria.

Common Parasites Largely Overlooked by Standard Care:

  • Roundworms, tapeworms and flukes (flatworms)
  • Protists like Giardia, Toxoplasmosis, Malaria and Babesia
  • Bacteria such as Borrelia, Bartonella, E. coli, Clostridia species and Chlamydia pneumoniae
  • Fungi like Candida and Aspergillus.

Integrative practitioners have long understood that chronic yeast and mold fungal infections are present in their sick patients. More recently, the vector-borne infections that cause Lyme disease have gained attention.

Yet, most practitioners lack the experience and tests to identify and treat parasites successfully. They may recommend food sensitivity or allergy tests, hormone tests, chelation for heavy metals, genetic testing, and many supplements while missing the root cause of their patient’s woes.

Even after costly testing, therapies and supplements, their patient continues to return to their clinic month after month, still sick because the parasitic infections were not addressed or treated effectively.

My Journey Recovering from MS

I know this scenario all too well because at the young age of 28, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I was a young mom and had always been healthy until I suddenly lost all vision in my left eye and began to suffer from extreme fatigue, terrible headaches, insomnia, and weakness and tingling in my legs. I was quickly referred to the University of British Columbia Hospital MS Clinic in Canada, where I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

The neurologist said that they didn’t know what caused MS and that there is no cure. He assured me that I would become completely disabled in time and that there was nothing I could do to improve my health. I was in shock and left his office devastated! That was the darkest day of my life. I cried out to God for help, and even though I was really scared, I knew that He could make good from my crisis.

Shortly after my diagnosis, I read four books written by medical doctors who believed that all disease is caused by chronic parasitic infections and that when the parasites are treated effectively, the disease process stops and people have a lot of recovery—more than they thought possible.

This gave me hope that maybe there was something I could do to improve my health. I decided to take a different path to treat MS; I decided not to follow the standard of care because it gave me no hope.

Long story short, by focusing on treating parasites while following a holistic approach, I have been able to live free from MS symptoms for more than 30 years.

One critical fact that mainstream medicine often overlooks is that MS is primarily diagnosed by detecting lesions in the brain and spinal cord via MRI scans. Research shows that various parasites are known to cause such lesions, yet no significant efforts are being made to investigate their role in MS.

By addressing parasites as the root cause, I have not only regained my health but have also coached over 1,000 students in over 15 countries in their recovery from MS and other chronic diseases.

Parasites Cause Inflammation and Disease

All diseases are inflammatory conditions, and by definition, parasitic infections cause inflammation. In the scientific and medical communities, it is well known that parasites cause disease, and the sicker we are, the more infested we are with parasites. The only way to truly recover from disease is to treat the parasites that cause it.

Why Is There Resistance to Treating Parasites?

Our standard of care is great at crisis intervention, but for chronic disease, it is failing us miserably. There is no financial incentive to treat parasites. It is much more lucrative to give patients expensive, patented immune-suppressive maintenance medications for a lifetime than to periodically treat parasites with safe, affordable treatments. Treating disease has evolved into a multi-billion-dollar industry, and many of us suffer terribly and die prematurely because of this.

The Best Way to Treat Parasites

If parasites are not treated regularly, they become chronic, deep-rooted infections in the body, where they are more challenging to treat. They usually first take hold in the gastrointestinal tract but then move into the bloodstream and infect organs, tissues, and eventually the central nervous system.

The Live Disease Free Plan has been developed from over 20 years of research in supporting over 1,000 students in more than 15 countries to recover from parasitic infestations and chronic disease.

The Live Disease Free Plan to Recover from Parasites and Disease

Before parasites are treated, it’s important to follow the prep phase of the Live Disease Free Plan to decrease inflammation, promote immune modulation, greatly improve tolerance to the parasite treatments and increase the speed of recovery. Preparing to treat includes Steps 1 and 2.

Step 1: Follow the Live Disease Free Diet

This diet provides lots of nutrition for the body but greatly reduces food for the parasites. Most parasites thrive on carbohydrates, so by decreasing carbs enough, parasites are less active and produce fewer toxins, which results in less inflammation and significant symptom improvement.

Step 2: Support the Body

Daily bowel movements, optimal sleep, supporting physiology and removing toxins from the environment must all be addressed before treatment is started so that the treatments will be more easily tolerated and will work more effectively.

Step 3: Treat the Parasites and Rebuild Health-Promoting Microbes

The most successful treatment plan includes a layering of therapies: parasite medications, antimicrobial herbs and oxygen therapies. Energy testing is used to determine which treatments (herbs and parasite drugs) will be most effective for the parasites infecting an individual, ensuring a personalized approach to recovery.

People often test well for 3 – 5 parasite drugs.

Parasites are treated from large to small with each treatment cycle.

Treatment cycles are continued until one is symptom free for a couple of cycles.

When parasites are treated effectively:

  • Mood improves – people feel happy and peaceful again
  • Mental clarity and memory come back
  • Stiffness and spasticity subside
  • Balance returns
  • Drop foot resolves
  • Tremors diminish
  • Pain ends
  • Writing, vision and speech improve
  • Strength returns in legs and arms
  • Mobility improves – Canes, walkers, wheelchairs or scooters may no longer be needed.

The sooner parasites are treated, the easier they are to treat and the quicker the recovery will be.

As parasites are treated, it is also vital to rebuild our natural defense—the health-promoting microbes.

Step 4: Maintain Health and Prevention

It is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which includes being active, optimizing nutrition, managing stress, nurturing our soul, getting sunshine and staying hydrated. When health is restored, it is wise to treat parasites once or twice per year to prevent disease in the future.

Challenges You May Face and How to Overcome Them

The following are some of the biggest challenges you may face when recovering from a parasitic infestation—and more importantly, how to overcome them:

  1. Resistance from the Medical System
Many doctors are not trained to diagnose or treat chronic parasitic infections. Standard tests often fail to detect parasites, leaving people misdiagnosed and untreated. If you’ve ever felt dismissed or unheard by your doctor, know that you’re not alone. But don’t let that stop you—there is a way forward.
  2. Die-Off Symptoms (Herxheimer Reaction)
As parasites die, they release toxins that can temporarily make symptoms worse. Without proper preparation, people may think the treatment is making them sicker instead of better. The key is to follow the Live Disease Free Plan properly to minimize these reactions and keep moving forward.
  3. Feeling Alone and Unsupported
Many people feel isolated because their family and friends don’t understand or believe that parasites are an issue. And if their doctor dismisses them, they feel even more alone. That’s why community is so important. Surround yourself with people who are on the same journey and truly understand. That’s what we provide in the Live Disease Free program—a strong, supportive community where you’re never alone.
  4. Dietary Adjustments
Parasites thrive on sugar and carbs, so cutting these out is essential—but it’s not always easy. Social situations, cravings and habits can make it difficult to stay on track. The good news is that when you are following the Live Disease Free diet properly and start feeling better, the cravings subside. And having support makes all the difference.
  5. Complexity of Treatment
Treating parasites isn’t a quick fix—it requires a layered approach over time. Some treatments only work on certain parasite stages, so persistence is key. Many people expect fast results and get discouraged when full recovery takes months instead of weeks. But by having a comprehensive and effective plan and by staying committed, health can improve weekly!

Overcoming these challenges is possible, and I’ve helped countless people do it.
