Leslie’s prayers were answered when she learned that the multiple sclerosis that she suffered from was caused by a parasitic infestation. After living with MS for 5 years and watching her health continually decline, she decided to try something new. She decided to take a different path and treat the parasites that were making her sick and disabling her. Today, after just three parasite treatment cycles, Leslie is almost symptom-free and is able to work out, play with her kids, tolerate the heat and go back to work.
Leslie’s Journey
Leslie is 39 years young and is married with two children. Before her MS diagnosis, she was an ICU and trauma nurse in Canada.
Her first MS attack occurred in 2012 before she had children. At that time, she had been a trauma nurse for two years. Her diet and lifestyle were poor with lots of processed foods, high stress, smoking, drinking and partying. She worked full-time, attended school full-time and was also training for a fitness competition.
One morning she woke up with double vision and numbness and burning on the left side of her body. She was unable to work, so she took six weeks off to rest. As her health improved, she went back to work and didn’t change anything in her life. In fact, she ramped up her unhealthy lifestyle even more.
Leslie had her first child and continued with her unhealthy diet and high stress. Three months after the birth of her second child, she awoke one morning paralyzed on the right side of her body. Her right arm hung dead at her side and she had foot drop in her right foot so she could not walk and had to use a wheelchair.
She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in Jan 2018, three months after the birth of her second child. Her symptoms included paralysis on the right side of her body, numbness from her neck down, bladder and bowel issues, anxiety and heart palpitations.
Leslie’s neurologist diagnosed her with MS and told her that she would probably never walk again.
She chose to not take the MS drugs because she was not confident that they would help her. She felt that her lifestyle had probably brought on the MS, so she decided to work on her diet and lifestyle.
She read Pam Bartha’s book, Become a Wellness Champion, and Dr. Terry Wahl’s book, The Wahl’s Protocol. Leslie changed her diet, stopped smoking and drinking alcohol, quit her stressful job and decreased her carbohydrates and only ate clean, unprocessed, whole foods.
Leslie’s diet and lifestyle changes helped her tremendously. She lost 75 lbs, was walking again in four months and jogging in six months.
Due to financial constraints, she did not work with an integrative healthcare professional, go to a gym or take a lot of supplements. She shared that her improvements came solely from changing her diet and lifestyle.
She booked a strategy session with Pam Bartha to thank her and share how well she was doing. Pam was thrilled with Leslie’s improvements but cautiously warned her that if she didn’t treat the parasites, they would likely cause relapses in the future. Pam stressed that a low carbohydrate diet helps to make the parasites less active, but does not remove them from the body.
Because Leslie experienced such dramatic symptom improvements, she felt that she would be able to maintain her health if she just continued with a healthy diet and lifestyle.
Fast forward 5 years later, Leslie’s health deteriorated significantly again and she remembered and understood Pam’s warning. Now Leslie realized how important it was to treat the parasites effectively.
Her symptoms included: fatigue, foggy head, poor memory, pain, anxiety, neuropathy, difficulty breathing and numbness from the neck down. She would wake up from a restful sleep with heart palpitations, sweating and dizziness.
She joined the Live Disease Free plan and noticed significant improvements by just lowering the carbohydrates enough while following the Live Disease Free diet. She then supported her body and was feeling much healthier before she started treating.
Leslie is still treating today, but after just 3 parasite treatment cycles, she is almost symptom free. She has passed many large worms.
Leslie’s most recent update
“I joined the Live Disease Free Plan because I suffered from MS and thought I was going to die. I was collapsing without notice. I would wake up from a restful sleep with heart palpitations, sweating and dizziness. I had a complete cardiac work up and my heart was healthy, so why was I having these cardiac events?
I was numb from the neck down. I couldn’t feel my lungs expanding with each breath, so I felt as though I was suffocating.
My hands felt like they were on fire and I had sensitivity to water. It felt as though the water was boiling hot when it was not, so showering was very painful.
Fast forward to my third round of parasite treatments where I now have almost ZERO symptoms!! I only have a slight tingle in my hands. I am working out again and I am going back to work.
I can now ride a bike, jump on the trampoline and play with my kids. I am no longer sensitive to heat and can sip on tea on my deck with friends on a hot day.”
The Live Disease Free plan that Leslie followed
Before parasites are treated, it is important to follow the prep phase of the Live Disease Free plan to decrease inflammation, promote immune modulation, greatly improve tolerance to the parasite treatments and increase the speed of recovery. Preparing to treat includes Step 1 and 2.
Step 1. Follow the Live Disease Free diet
This diet provides lots of nutrition for the body, but greatly reduces food to the parasites. Most parasites thrive on carbohydrates so by decreasing one’s carb intake enough, parasites are less active and produce less toxins, which results in less inflammation and significant symptom improvement. If a person suffers from inflammatory bowel disease, it is important to avoid raw vegetables and those that are not well tolerated until their G.I. tract heals. Visit the Live Disease Free Diet Guidelines to learn more.
Step 2. Support the Body
Daily bowel movements, optimal sleep, supporting physiology and removing toxins from the environment must all be addressed before treatment is started so that the treatments will be tolerated better and will work more effectively.
Following steps 1 and 2 of the Live Disease Free plan results in improved bladder function, sleep, energy, mental clarity and mood and less pain, stiffness and muscle spasms.
Step 3. Treat the parasites and rebuild the health-promoting microbes
One’s treatment plan is determined through a person’s health history, disease diagnoses, symptoms, and by energy testing common treatments to determine which therapies will be most effective against the parasites that they are infected with. The most successful treatment plan includes a layering of therapies: parasite medications, antimicrobial herbs and oxygen therapies. As parasites are treated, it is also vital to rebuild our natural defense: the health promoting microbes.
When parasites are treated effectively:
- Mood improves – people feel happy and peaceful again
- Mental clarity and memory come back
- Stiffness and spasticity subside
- Balance returns
- Drop foot resolves
- Tremors diminish
- Pain ends
- Writing, vision and speech improve
- Strength returns in legs and arms
- Mobility improves – Canes, walkers, wheelchairs or scooters may no longer be needed.
The sooner parasites are treated, the easier they are to treat and the quicker the recovery will be.
Step 4. Maintain health and prevention
It is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle which includes being active, optimizing nutrition, managing stress, nurturing our soul, getting sunshine and staying hydrated. When health is restored, it is wise to treat parasites once or twice per year to prevent disease in the future.
The Live Disease Free plan has allowed me to live an active life free from disease for over 30 years and is allowing many Wellness Champions like Leslie to recover from disease and get their health and life back.
