There is a growing interest in the scientific community and with practitioners about the connection between parasites and COVID-19 and how parasites may influence the course of COVID-19 infections.
There are two aspects of parasites and COVID-19 that must be addressed. First, how the parasites that live in the body affect how sick a person becomes with COVID-19 and secondly why a variety of parasite drugs are so helpful in the treatment of COVID-19.
How Parasites in the Body Affect the Outcome of COVID
Worm infections cause most of the common infectious diseases in underdeveloped countries, but they also cause disease in millions of people in developed countries. There are at least 17 ways in which parasites cause immune dysfunction, immune suppression and inflammation in the body. Studies show that parasites living in the body can increase the prevalence of COVID-19, the severity of COVID-19, and the rate of death from COVID-19[i] and that de-worming can alleviate this.[ii]
Another study reported that human parasitic infections like malaria, schistosomiasis and worms can mimic the symptoms of COVID-19 and could thus result in the misdiagnosis of COVID-19. They also state that parasites can increase the risk of severe infection with COVID-19 and that recovery from parasitic infections can strengthen the immune system and protect from COVID-19 re-infection.[iii]
This research agrees with what our students have experienced. The Live Disease Free plan teaches people how to play an active role in their healthcare and treat the cause of their chronic disease while following a holistic approach. The biggest cause of disease is a parasitic infestation. We have observed that the sicker we are, the more infested we are with parasites and the more infested we are, the sicker we become from COVID-19. When the parasites are treated effectively, we do not become severely sick from COVID-19.
Why are Parasite Drugs Helpful for Treating COVID?
In the early weeks and months of the COVID-19 pandemic, many doctors discovered that certain parasite drugs like ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine were very helpful in the treatment of COVID-19.
Over 90 studies have shown statistical improvements for mortality, ventilation, ICU, hospitalization, recovery, cases, and viral clearance with the use of ivermectin in the treatment of COVID-19.[iv]
Ivermectin is a parasite drug that treats a broad range of parasites and has been used for over 35 years (since 1987). It is one of the safest drugs known and has been prescribed over 4 billion times globally. The World Health Organization considers ivermectin to be an essential medicine, and it won the Nobel Prize for its global and historic impacts in eradicating endemic parasitic infections in many countries.[v]
Similarly, over 100 studies show that Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) is also effective in the early treatment of COVID-19. It has been FDA approved for over 65 years and has been used billions of times globally without restriction.[vi]
For decades, HCQ has been given to pregnant women, breastfeeding women, children, elderly patients, immune compromised patients and healthy persons. It is often prescribed for lupus, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and to prevent malaria for travelers.
The professional society of the physicians who prescribe this drug the most report:
- serious side effects of HCQ are rare
- visual changes can happen in people taking high doses for years
- heart rhythm changes are so uncommon that there is no monitoring pre-use.[vii]
If these two parasite drugs are safe and effective in the treatment of COVID-19, why were doctors forbidden to prescribe them to treat COVID?
And why were parasite drugs effective in the treatment of a virus like Sars CoV2?
It was a real shock when health authorities in most developed countries forbid doctors to prescribe ivermectin or HCQ to treat COVID-19 even though these drugs were safe, the research confirmed that they could potentially help patients, and doctors had no other authorized protocols for treating COVID-19.
In the early months of COVID-19, doctors were instructed to tell their patients to stay home and if they became extremely sick, they could go to the hospital and receive oxygen and or ventilation. On October 9, 2020 the NIH declared NO treatment of SARS-CoV-2 patients unless the patient was hospitalized and required oxygen. This order prohibited doctors from treating their patients as they normally did.[viii]
In order to mandate a vaccination, the authorities had to declare and convince the public that there were no effective treatments for COVID-19.
Nevertheless, tens of thousands of doctors around the world banded together to form the Great Barrington Declaration and refused to follow the reckless and dangerous recommendations of their local governments and health authorities. Instead, they supported their patients and saved many lives. Sadly, millions more could have been saved if doctors would have been allowed to collaborate and care for their patients before they became too ill.
Later, doctors also discovered that parasite drugs like niclosamide, nitazoxanide (Alina) along with other supplements and medications also helped patients recover from COVID-19.
It is interesting that the parasite drugs that helped COVID-19 patients are used to treat different types of parasites:
- Ivermectin treats roundworms and lice
- Hydroxychloroquine treats malaria and protists
- Alinia or nitazoxanide treat certain protists, tapeworms and roundworms
- Niclosamide treats tapeworms.
Many countries were not able to access the COVID-19 shots but instead successfully recommended chlorine dioxide (CD) and chlorine dioxide solution (CDS) to treat COVID-19.
Why is it that parasite drugs that treat different types of parasites could also treat a virus like SARS CoV2?
We may never know the full answer to this question, but 20 year biotech analyst Karen Kingston discovered “… as you go through the patents and the peer-reviewed publications, most of the biological sequences for this nano-weapon [the entity that causes COVID-19] are from parasites. This is why ivermectin and the hydroxychloroquine and the anti-parasitical treatments kill it and/or slow it down.”[ix]
There are real solutions to recover from parasites today!
To restore health, we must focus on treating the cause of inflammation, which are parasites. First, identify the enemy (parasites), then support the body and treat the parasites while following a holistic approach. When parasitic infections are treated effectively, we can overcome inflammation or disease.
