Story at a glance
- All diseases are inflammatory conditions.
- Inflammation occurs when our tissues become injured from either an accident or from infections (parasites) and the toxins they produce.
- Inflammation is the war zone between the parasites and our immune system.
- As parasites are treated effectively, inflammation stops and so does disease.
Is it possible to heal from disease? Our medical experts tell us that the cause of disease is unknown and there is no cure. If we look outside standard medical care, we find many integrative approaches. How do we know which approach to follow? There are so many diets, supplements and opinions about health which leads to confusion, frustration and financial hardship as we try many things to get well.
To figure out the best approach to heal we must first be clear on what’s truly going on in our body when we suffer from disease – our starting point. Clarity crushes confusion and helps us to know the right steps we must take to recover.
Wellness Champions are recovering from disease. Yes, recovering from disease; not managing illness or symptoms. They are creating health by following a clear, proven plan that treats the cause of disease. They understand their starting point!
All diseases are inflammatory conditions
It is understood in the scientific community that chronic inflammation is the leading cause of diseases like cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and autoimmune and neurodegenerative disorders.[i]
What is inflammation?
To better understand inflammation, it is helpful to use an analogy which compares inflammation to war.
In war, soldiers battle an enemy. With inflammation, our immune cells also battle an enemy – disease causing microbes (parasites) and the toxins they produce. A parasite is any microorganism that lives in or on us and causes us harm. Parasites can include worms, protists, fungi and bacteria.
Our military has various divisions of well-armed soldiers that defend us against invasions from enemies that would harm us. Likewise, our immune system is made up of various types of immune cells that have specific duties that act as our defence against parasites and the toxins they produce.
In war, there is often death and destruction, damage to roads, buildings, etc. With inflammation, there can be damage to our tissues and organs, and even cell death.
By definition, inflammation occurs when our tissues become injured from either an accident or from infections (parasites) and the toxins they produce. Therefore, inflammation is the war zone where our immune system is battling the parasites. Common symptoms of inflammation include pain, redness, swelling and heat.
When our soldiers defeat the enemy, war stops. Similarly, when parasitic infections and the toxins that they produce that cause inflammation are defeated and resolved by our immune system, inflammation stops.
When the parasites are no longer present, inflammation is no longer present and we no longer have an inflammatory condition or disease.
This is common sense but also holds true in science.
So, if we know that infections and the toxins they produce cause a war (an immune response) which is inflammation, why are experts and researchers not looking for specific parasites that are causing the inflammation in disease conditions?
Testing is highly regulated. Our standard of care only allows specific tests to be done in labs. Our practitioners have been instructed that parasites are only a concern in underdeveloped countries. They are not skilled at recognizing parasitic infestations and testing is poor. In most countries, doctors and other practitioners are not permitted to have microscopes in their office.
Autoimmunity
Until the later part of the 19th century, scientists thought that the immune system would not attack the body’s own tissues. Then at the turn of the 20th century, Dr. Ehrlick proposed a theory about the possibility of autoimmune tissue attacks.
By the 1950’s, the theory of autoimmunity gained a lot of popularity, and it was believed that most diseases were caused by the immune system attacking body tissues for some unknown reason. Today there are more than 80 different autoimmune diseases which are treated with maintenance pharmaceuticals that suppress immune function and are taken for life or as long as the adverse effects are tolerated by the patient. This has resulted in a multi-trillion dollar sickness care industry.
Autoimmunity is a theory, a belief and not a proven fact.
If autoimmunity is real, then it would be impossible to get well. If sick with an autoimmune disease, we would have to live on immunosuppressive drugs indefinitely to prevent our immune system from attacking our tissues. If this is the case, then diet, supplement and treating parasites would not relieve symptoms and we would not be able to stop taking immunosuppressive drugs.
But, this is not the case! Many people have recovered and are recovering from “autoimmune” diseases. They have stopped taking immunosuppressive maintenance drugs and no longer have an inflammatory disease.
The difference between autoimmunity and immune dysfunction
Researchers have discovered 17 ways in which parasites cause immune dysfunction and inflammation in the body. When parasites are treated effectively, immune dysfunction and inflammation stop. I will discuss how parasites cause immune dysfunction in a future post.
Have we been misguided?
I believe that we have been misguided. I was diagnosed with MS over 30 years ago, and today we are still no closer to a cure for MS or any other disease. The treatments are still expensive drugs that suppress our immune system. Our standard of care is not sustainable and won’t give us the quality of life that we want. This scenario has perpetuated the sickness industry that keeps us on maintenance drugs for the rest of our lives where we try to manage our sickness instead of creating health.
Because we don’t understand science, we have blindly trusted our standard of care to recommend what’s best for us.
Powerful multinational companies, whose sole motive is profit and control, have a major influence on health policy – how we treat sickness. This has become even more clear over the past two years with how COVID was dealt with. Early, safe and effective treatments were withheld from people while expensive, ineffective new vaccines that had not been adequately tested for safety were mandated. Record profits were made in the pharmaceutical industry with the mandating of COVID vaccines. Pfizer alone reported over $83B in 2021.[ii]
There are Real MS Solutions for Today!
To restore health, we must focus on treating the cause of inflammation which are parasites. First, identify the enemy (parasites), then support the body and treat the parasites while following a holistic approach. When parasitic infections are treated effectively, we no longer have inflammation or disease.
