For those dealing with multiple sclerosis (MS) or other chronic diseases, the right diet is the first step towards recovery. Through personal experience and years of working with thousands of people worldwide, we have found that diet plays a crucial role in healing. When we follow the right diet, we can experience significant improvements in symptoms in as little as one or two weeks.
This post shares the best diet for MS, why it works and provides specific examples of meal ideals for breakfast, snacks, lunch and supper.
Why is Diet So Important?
- The right diet is the foundation for a successful recovery.
- Abundant evidence confirms that MS is an infectious disease caused by parasites like roundworms, flatworms, protozoa, fungi and bacteria.
- A parasite is any microbe that lives in the body and causes harm.
- The preferred source of energy for parasites comes from carbohydrates and simple sugars.
- A high-carb diet makes parasites more active and increases their production of toxins.
- This leads to inflammation as the immune system fights the parasites and the toxins they produce.
- The Live Disease Free Diet promotes immune modulation, reducing inflammation and making parasite treatments more effective.
- This diet allows for symptom improvement and improves the body’s ability to tolerate parasite treatments.
The Best Diet to Follow for MS or Other Diseases
- A diet should be nutritious and consider the state of the microbiota (microbes living in the body).
- It should greatly reduce food to parasites while feeding the body.
- The Live Disease Free Diet is a simple yet tasty, proven diet that has helped thousands of people improve their health and quality of life.
- This diet supports optimal body function while making parasites less active—resulting in less inflammation and significant symptom improvement.
- This diet is lower in carbs than Paleo but includes more vegetables than Keto while avoiding dairy.
- It is a low-carb diet—less than 50 total grams of carbs per day, with the best results seen at 30–40 grams per day.
- It avoids foods that stimulate parasites and is dairy-free, sugar-free, grain-free, caffeine-free and alcohol-free.

Eating Enough Calories While Following This Diet
- If weight loss is not a goal, it’s important to eat enough calories.
- As calories from carbohydrates are reduced, calories from healthy fats should be increased to maintain weight.
- If suffering from irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, or diarrhea, vegetables that are tolerated should be cooked. It’s fine to steam, sauté, stir-fry or oven-roast vegetables from the Live Disease Free Cheat Sheet.
How Quickly Can Symptoms Improve?
- Significant symptom improvements can begin within 1-2 weeks of following the Live Disease Free Diet properly with less than 50 total grams of carbs per day, but ideally 30-40 total grams per day.
- Use the Cronometer app to track total grams of carbs per day.
- The Live Disease Free Diet has helped people with MS, autism, Parkinson’s, cancer, epilepsy, diabetes and other chronic diseases—because these are all infectious diseases.

Diet Alone Is Not Enough
- Diet and exercise alone will not fully heal chronic diseases.
- If parasites are not treated effectively, and high-carb foods are eaten, parasites will become more active again, causing symptoms to increase.
