If you believe parasites are behind your symptoms, but herbs, cleanses, and detoxes are not giving you lasting results, your diet is likely keeping parasites active.
Before you try to kill parasites, you must stop feeding them.
When parasites are well fed, they are more active. They produce more poisons, your immune system must work harder and inflammation remains high.
That is why parasite recovery does not start with the strongest cleanse, the strongest herbs, or the strongest medication.
It starts by changing the internal environment so your body can finally begin to recover.
Why Diet Comes Before Parasite Treatment
Most people want to jump straight into killing parasites.
They want the strongest parasite detox. The strongest supplement protocol. The strongest medication.
But if your diet is still feeding parasites every day, you are making treatment harder.
When parasites are more active, they can produce more poisons. Those poisons can contribute to symptoms like:
- Fatigue
- Brain fog
- Pain
- Bladder issues
- Numbness
- Tingling
- Spasms
- Digestive problems
- Poor sleep
- Mood changes
- Inflammation
When you lower the foods that feed parasites, they can become less active.
When they are less active, they produce fewer poisons.
When they produce fewer poisons, the immune system does not have to work as hard.
And when the immune system calms down, inflammation can begin to drop.
This is why some people start noticing improvements within 1 to 2 weeks of changing their diet, even before parasite treatment begins.
Diet Alone Can Create Noticeable Symptom Improvements
In the Live Disease Free program, we have seen Wellness Champion students notice real improvements just from following the right diet.
One student started the Live Disease Free Diet and noticed that the stiffness and tingling in her hands and feet went away. Her hot flashes improved. The constant tremors she felt also improved.
Another student had scary symptoms throughout his body and brain. During the diet phase, his energy and strength improved. His sleep improved. He was not getting up as often at night. He felt more relaxed, and the sensation in his face was gone.
Another student noticed more strength in her legs, better sit-to-stand ability, improved stamina, and more flexibility in her left foot.
Another reported better stability, less muscle spasticity, better mental health, regular bowel movements, and sleeping seven to eight hours per night.
These Wellness Champions were starting with the first step: lowering the foods that feed parasites and supporting the body.
That is why diet is not optional.
It is the foundation to recovery.
Eating Clean Is Not Enough
This is where many people get it wrong.
They say, “But I already eat healthy.”
But eating clean is not the same as eating in a way that starves parasites.
You can eat organic food and still feed parasites.
You can eat fruit, grains, smoothies, honey, maple syrup, oatmeal, quinoa, nut butters, bone broth, and “healthy” snacks, and your symptoms can still get worse.
Parasites do not care whether sugar comes from a cookie or blueberries.
Sugar is sugar to parasites.
And when parasites are being fed, they can become more active.
That is why the Live Disease Free Diet is different.
It is not just clean eating.
It is strategic eating.
The goal is to reduce food to parasites while giving your body the nutrients it needs to get stronger.
The Live Disease Free Diet Framework
The Live Disease Free Diet is lower carb than paleo, but higher carb than keto.
The sweet spot is usually around 30 to 40 total grams of carbs per day.
And this is important: we count total carbs, not net carbs.
That means fiber, sugar, starches, and carbohydrates are all counted together.
The basic structure is simple:
- Lots of low-carb vegetables
- Moderate amounts of animal protein
- Enough healthy fat to maintain your weight and energy
Low-carb vegetables provide nutrients, minerals, and fiber to help support the good microbes we want to rebuild.
Animal protein provides complete protein and essential amino acids so you can maintain muscle, strength, and endurance.
Healthy fat gives you energy when you lower carbohydrates.
If you lower carbs but do not increase healthy fats, you can lose too much weight and feel weak.
That is not the goal.
The goal is not starvation.
The goal is strength.
What To Avoid During Parasite Recovery
During the recovery and treatment phase, we avoid foods that feed parasites, stimulate them, or make treatment harder.
Avoid:
- Sugar
- All sweeteners
- Grains including: rice, pasta, quinoa, corn, wheat, oats, barley, and millet
- Dairy, except butter or ghee
- Caffeine including: decaf coffee and decaf tea
- Alcohol
- Most fermented foods, except small amounts of raw sauerkraut if tolerated
- Processed meats with sugar, fillers, or additives
- Protein shakes and smoothies
- Plant-based milks
- Foods you personally react to
Fruit intake is kept very small because even natural sugar can feed parasites.
That might be half a green apple, a very small kiwi, or a small amount of berries.
And if you have inflammatory bowel issues, do not eat raw vegetables.
Cook the vegetables that agree with you. Avoid the ones that trigger symptoms.
Listen to your body.
As inflammation comes down and the gut heals, many can tolerate raw later.
What To Eat Instead
This diet can be delicious, hearty, and simple.
Breakfast could be eggs with lots of greens and olive oil.
Lunch could be a big salad with leftover chicken, turkey, roast beef, taco meat, or meatloaf, with olive oil and fresh lemon or lime.
Supper could be a cooked or raw low-carb vegetables with chicken, beef, turkey, fish, lamb, or eggs, plus butter, olive oil, herbs, or homemade sauces.
Use flavor so you do not feel deprived.
Good options include:
- Rosemary
- Thyme
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Turmeric
- Basil
- Sage
- Cilantro
- Parsley
- Curry spices
- Taco seasoning
- Italian herbs
Simple meal ideas include:
- Taco salad
- Hamburger soup
- Meatloaf
- Barbecue or oven roasted chicken or beef
- Beef stew with low-carb vegetables
- Oven-roasted, stir fried, steamed or sautéed low-carb vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, green beans, or bok choy
The key is plan ahead and batch cook.
Cook extra. Use leftovers. Keep prepared protein and vegetables ready.
Because if you are hungry and unprepared, that is when it is easy to reach for foods that feed parasites.
Common Mistakes That Keep People Stuck
There are several mistakes that can keep people from seeing results.
The most common ones are:
- Lowering carbs but not eating enough fat
- Eating too much protein
- Eating too many nuts or nut butters
- Keeping caffeine in the diet
- Drinking smoothies or shakes
- Fasting while already low carb and losing too much weight
- Eating foods you are sensitive to just because they are technically allowed
This diet only works if you do it the way it was designed.
Low carb does not mean you should starve. As you decrease carbs, increase healthy fats to maintain weight.
It means low-carb vegetables, moderate animal protein, and enough healthy fat to maintain strength, weight, and energy.
The First Step Is Not Killing Parasites
If you believe parasites are driving your chronic disease, please understand this:
You do not have to wait until you start parasite treatment to begin feeling better.
You can start today by changing the foods that feed parasites.
Many people notice improvements in 1 to 2 weeks when they lower carbs, stop feeding parasites, and give their body the nutrients it needs.
This is not about dieting.
It is about creating an internal environment where parasites are less active, inflammation comes down, and recovery becomes possible.
A successful parasite treatment protocol does not start with killing.
It starts with starving the parasites and strengthening the body.
