Brain Interrupted – My Review

Recently in Canada, Global News aired a docuseries called Brain Interrupted – Canada’s Multiple Sclerosis Story. The series highlighted several topics relating to MS, including the different types of MS, and how diagnosis and drug treatment has changed over the years. It also explored topics like why more women than men are being diagnosed, and why Canada’s MS rates are so high compared to other parts of the world.

I was extremely disappointed with this program – I found it depressing, unbalanced, and problematic. Being pharmaceutically based, it offers a skewed representation of where we are today, and not a true picture of what people are actually doing to change their lives, or the hope that there is for them.

With so much current (and past) research published on how various microbes in our body cause disease symptoms, I was frustrated that none of it was shared in this program. You can read up on just some of those studies here: https://livediseasefree.com/ms-infections/

Another huge oversight is that this series didn’t cover anything on diet or lifestyle – it is well-known how important both are for MS recovery. While diet and exercise alone will not cure MS, they set the foundation for recovery.
