Parasites Cause Heat Sensitivity in MS

You may wonder, “Why am I so sensitive to heat? Why does the heat bother me so much? I don’t feel good in the heat. When it’s hot, all I can do is stay close to an air conditioner.”

These complaints are shared by many who suffer from MS and other diseases. Parasitic infections can impair our ability to cope with heat, increase symptoms and decrease our ability to function.

This post explains how the parasites that cause multiple sclerosis (and other diseases) also cause heat sensitivity, and how Wellness Champions tolerate heat again after parasites are effectively treated.

Hot summer temperatures can be very difficult for those suffering from chronic disease. Almost 80% of MS patients experience heat intolerance and their heat intolerance usually gets worse over time.

Our medically trained doctors believe that heat sensitivity in MS is caused by nerve and spinal cord damage that hinders the body’s ability to respond to nerve signals efficiently, as some nerves no longer conduct electricity properly under higher temperatures.[i]

In our experience in coaching hundreds of Wellness Champions in their recovery for multiple sclerosis and other chronic diseases, we have observed that heat sensitivity diminishes as parasitic infestations are sufficiently treated.

MS is not the only disease that causes heat intolerance. Other conditions that cause heat sensitivity include:[ii]

  • Graves’ disease
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Obesity
  • Heart disease
  • Mental illnesses
  • Diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • A lower level of physical fitness
  • Perimenopause.

There is a large and ever-going body of scientific evidence that shows that all chronic diseases are caused by infections. Also, it is well understood that inflammation is present in every chronic disease and that inflammation occurs when the immune system is battling infection.

What is a parasite?

A parasite is any microbe that lives in our body and causes us harm. Parasites rob nutrients from the food we eat, which can lead to nutritional deficiencies. They also produce toxins and cause inflammation. They make us sick. They need us to survive. Common parasites include big and small worms, single celled protists, fungi and bacteria.

Common parasites that are largely overlooked:

– Roundworms, tapeworms and flukes (flat worms)

– Protists like giardia, toxoplasmosis, malaria and Babesia

– Borrelia, bartonella, E. coli, Clostridia species and Chlamydia pneumoniae bacteria
– Candida and Aspergillus fungi.

Parasites can significantly reduce the ability of the body to tolerate heat during high temperatures.[iii]

High temperatures in the body impact the virulence or harm caused by the parasite with respect to increased mortality and reduced ability to reproduce.

Higher temperatures also increase parasite metabolism which increases its feeding and its reproduction inside the body, causing more damage to the infected person.

Heat intolerance symptoms:[iv]

The symptoms of heat intolerance can vary in each person, but common signs include:

  • Headaches
  • A fast heartbeat
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Dizziness
  • Confusion
  • Intense fatigue
  • Sweating more than normal or not at all
  • Muscle cramps and weakness
  • Weakness
  • Changes in mood.

Medications can cause heat intolerance

Various drugs and substances can also lead to heat sensitivity:

  • Caffeine
  • Alcohol
  • Antibiotics
  • Diabetes drugs
  • Antidepressants
  • Blood pressure drugs
  • Anti-psychotics
  • Allergy medications (antihistamines or decongestants)
  • Pain relievers
  • Overactive bladder medications
  • Amphetamines and other stimulants such as appetite suppressants
  • Legal and Illegal drugs – opioids, cocaine or methamphetamine.

Age can also increase our risk of developing heat intolerance. The CDC reports that people over 65 are more likely to have heat-related health issues which is probably due to the fact that most people in this age group have chronic parasitic infections.

Heat intolerance diagnosis

If you suffer with chronic disease and experience heat intolerance, your healthcare professional may tell you that heat sensitivity is a symptom of the disease you suffer from. They may run blood tests and ask questions about when it started, when it tends to be worse and other general questions. Because they don’t know what causes disease, testing is poor and to their knowledge, there is no cure, they will likely just recommend that their patient should avoid the heat.

This advice leaves their patient to suffer tremendously and unable to the things they love to do. They end up settling and forget what it’s like to be normal, because they are told there is no solution.

This is so unfair, especially when there is so much evidence that shows it is possible to recover from disease and heat sensitivity. Many people are proving this.

The Wellness Champions

Many Wellness Champions have recovered from disease and heat sensitivity. They are now able to enjoy hot baths, showers, saunas and hot tubs. They also participate in sports, run 5 or 10K races and relish the summer heat while at the pool, lake or while gardening or landscaping.

They are back to doing the things they love to do!

Lisa May is a nurse in Canada who recovered from multiple sclerosis, infertility and heat sensitivity by following the Live Disease Free plan. During her recovery, she shared that she was able to play with her nieces and nephews in the heat of the summer with no issue. She has since opened up a wellness clinic in Ontario, Canada and is the proud mother of three beautiful daughters.

Another Wellness Champion, Sarah, also recovered from multiple sclerosis using the Live Disease Free plan. After her recovery, she took part in the 180 km MS bike tour and then went on to running 10K races! You will see a picture of her in the summer heat by a pool in my masterclass training.

The Live Disease Free Plan

Before parasites are treated, it is important to follow the prep phase of the Live Disease Free plan to decrease inflammation, promote immune modulation, greatly improve tolerance to the parasite treatments and increase the speed of recovery. Preparing to treat includes Steps 1 and 2.

Step 1. Follow the Live Disease Free diet

This diet provides lots of nutrition for the body but greatly reduces food to the parasites. Most parasites thrive on carbohydrates, so by decreasing carbs enough, parasites are less active and produce less toxins, which results in less inflammation and significant symptom improvement. If a person suffers from inflammatory bowel disease, it is important to avoid raw vegetables and ones they don’t easily tolerate until their G.I. tract heals. Visit the Live Disease Free Diet Guidelines to learn more.

Step 2. Support the Body

Daily bowel movements, optimal sleep, supporting physiology and removing toxins from the environment must all be addressed before one begins treatment so that the treatments will be more effective and better tolerated.

Following steps 1 and 2 of the Live Disease Free plan results in improved bladder function, sleep, energy, mental clarity and mood and less pain, stiffness and muscle spasms.

Step 3. Treat the parasites and rebuild health-promoting microbes

The treatment plan is determined by reviewing a person’s health history, disease diagnoses, symptoms and by energy testing common treatments. This helps to determine which therapies will be most effective for the parasites that are infecting a person. The most successful treatment plan includes a layering of therapies: parasite medications, antimicrobial herbs and oxygen therapies. As parasites are treated, it is also vital to rebuild our natural defense: the health promoting microbes.

When parasites are treated effectively:

– Mood improves – people feel happy and peaceful again – Mental clarity and memory come back
– Stiffness and spasticity subside
– Balance returns
– Drop foot resolves
– Tremors diminish
– Pain ends- Writing, vision and speech improve
– Strength returns in legs and arms.
– Mobility improves – Canes, walkers, wheelchairs or scooters may no longer be needed.

The sooner parasites are treated, the easier they are to treat and the quicker one’s recovery will be.

Step 4. Maintain health and prevention

It is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which includes being active, optimizing nutrition, managing stress, nurturing our soul, getting sunshine and staying hydrated. When health is restored, it is wise to treat parasites once or twice per year to prevent disease in the future.

The Live Disease Free plan has allowed me to live an active life free from disease for over 30 years and is allowing many Wellness Champions recover from disease and get their health and life back.

To live a long, healthy and happy life, we must take responsibility for our health and learn these simple, safe and effective principles. We can’t afford to leave our health solely in the hands of any one expert. Our health is our greatest asset!

There are real solutions to recover from parasites today!

To restore health, we must focus on treating the cause of inflammation, which are parasites. First, identify the enemy (parasites), then support the body and treat the parasites while following a holistic approach. When parasitic infections are treated effectively, we can overcome inflammation or disease.
