Could multiple sclerosis (MS) actually be caused by parasites? In this post, we’ll explore some of the most common parasites linked to MS, a proven treatment plan that has helped many recover, and inspiring stories from Wellness Champions who are now thriving after treating parasites.

Parasites Linked to MS

1. Fungus – Candida and Mold

More than 40 years ago, several forward-thinking doctors proposed that fungal overgrowth—particularly Candida and mold—was a common parasitic infection in people suffering from chronic diseases, including MS.

The following books were written by medically trained doctors in the late 1980s and early 1990s on this topic:

  • The Yeast Connection by Dr. William Crook
  • The Missing Diagnosis by Dr. Orian Truss
  • Candida by Dr. Luc De Schepper
  • Complete Candida Yeast Guidebook by Dr. Zoltan Rona
  • The Fungus Link by Doug Kaufmann.

Numerous studies have reported increased Candida infections in MS and Candida has been discovered in the blood, central nervous system, and brain cells of MS patients.

2. Borrelia – The Bacteria that Causes Lyme Disease

The link between MS and spirochete bacteria like Borrelia was discovered over 100 years ago. Between 1911 and 1939, researchers across Europe observed spirochetes—corkscrew-shaped bacteria—in the brain lesions of people who died with MS. These bacteria were isolated and injected into animals, causing the same brain infections and confirming they were real and transmissible.

Why don’t we hear about this today? Modern research methods have shifted away from autopsies and tissue staining and now rely heavily on MRIs, blood tests, and spinal taps. Unfortunately, these methods often miss spirochetes, especially in their hidden or cyst forms.

Pathologist Dr. Alan MacDonald found the Lyme spirochete in the central nervous system of MS patients. He also discovered Borrelia in the myelin sheath of brain nerve cells in Alzheimer’s patients.

Lyme expert Dr. Klinghardt has reported that over 90% of his MS patients test positive for Lyme disease.

The National MS Society acknowledges that MS and Lyme share overlapping symptoms, MRIs, and even antibodies. They claim antibiotics only help Lyme—not MS—but studies they funded actually showed antibiotics were beneficial in early MS.

It’s time to revisit this forgotten science. Why did we stop looking?

3. Worms – Roundworms, Tapeworms and Flukes

Dr. Alan MacDonald discovered filarial worms and found tapeworm larva in the central nervous system of every MS subject tested. For over 100 years, veterinarians have known that these types of worms are known to cause symptoms in animals identical to MS symptoms.

Wellness Champions often pass large worms—especially flukes—during treatment. Some have passed over 200 worms, which are often more inflammatory than smaller parasites.

4. Protozoa – Plasmodium, Babesia, and Toxoplasma

In a six-part series, Pam Bartha discussed how malaria-causing Plasmodium and Babesia (which causes babesiosis) infect red blood cells, making them sticky, leading to vessel inflammation, blockages, ruptures, and brain bleeds. This vascular damage is why MS is also considered a vascular disorder in scientific literature.

The Live Disease Free Plan to Recover

Step 1: Follow the Live Disease Free Diet

This low-carb, high-nutrition diet starves parasites while nourishing the body. It significantly reduces inflammation and improves symptoms.

👉 Live Disease Free Diet Guidelines

Step 2: Support the Body

Ensure daily bowel movements, detoxify your environment, sleep well, and support your physiology. These foundational steps reduce treatment side effects and accelerate recovery.

Step 3: Treat the Parasites and Rebuild Healthy Microbes

Treatment is based on individual symptoms, diagnoses, and energy testing. A layered approach is used—prescription antiparasitics, herbs, and oxygen therapies—while rebuilding beneficial microbes.

Results include:

  • Improved mood and clarity
  • Better bladder function and mobility
  • Reduction in tremors, spasms, and pain
  • Recovery of strength, balance, vision, and speech.

Step 4: Maintain Health and Prevent Reinfection

Long-term health requires consistent healthy living—good nutrition, sunshine, stress management, and periodic parasite treatments (once or twice yearly).

Pam has been living symptom-free for over 30 years using this plan, and many Wellness Champions are also reclaiming their lives.

The Great Health Care Deception

In the 1950s, our medical standard of health care moved away from the belief that infections cause disease and instead embraced the theory of autoimmunity, in which the immune system attacks tissue for some unknown reason. This shift has prevented us from developing accurate tests for parasites, effective therapies to treat them and curing disease.

If parasites are treated early, chronic disease can be prevented. This would make our health care systems sustainable and prevent great suffering and early death.

The MacDonald 2017 Criteria

Why won’t the expert panel that dictates how MS is diagnosed and treated investigate parasites or infections as a possible cause? They focus solely on MRI lesions and lumbar puncture antibodies—without asking what is causing them.

Why aren’t lesions and spinal fluid being examined for parasites?

The sad reality is that the standard of care for MS is heavily influenced by the companies that sell expensive, disease modifying, maintenance MS drugs.

Under declaration of interests, it is shocking to see how many pharma companies that market MS drugs financially supported this criteria. Is this not an egregious conflict of interest?

It’s time to ask these hard questions—and seek out real solutions.

A New Way Forward

The evidence is clear: parasites are a root cause of multiple sclerosis and other chronic illnesses. Decades of research—some long forgotten—point to a variety of infections that damage the brain, disrupt neurotransmitters, inflame blood vessels, and cause the very lesions seen on MS scans. Yet, this critical knowledge has been overlooked by conventional medicine.

At Live Disease Free, we are not waiting for the system to change. We are actively helping Wellness Champions restore their health by addressing the real root cause—parasites—while following a holistic approach. The incredible recoveries of Wellness Champions prove that hope is not lost, and recovery is possible.

You don’t have to suffer endlessly. You don’t have to settle for symptom management. You can take back your health, your energy, and your future—starting today.

There are real solutions to recover from parasites today!

To restore health, we must focus on treating the cause of inflammation, which are parasites. First, identify the enemy (parasites), then support the body and treat the parasites while following a holistic approach. When parasitic infections are treated effectively, we can overcome inflammation or disease.
